302 BAT/EBT/CALTECH Instructor Course
PLEASE NOTE: This course is available for training on the Alco-Sensor IV @Work or the EC/IR II instruments.
This course includes one self-study module that will take about two hours to complete and three days in-classroom instruction. Please note that if certification is requested on more than one instrument, it will incur additional charges and additional time.
- Self-study (Intoximeters Training Academy) plus 3 days classroom
- DOT Model Course – part 40 rules and regulations (online)
- Intoximeters EBT instrument-specific training (classroom)
- 7 mock tests in a classroom setting with an Intoximeters Corporate Trainer
- Includes instruction on the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) and Accuracy Checks
- Passing a written exam is required for certification
- Calibration Technician training (classroom)
- Instructor resource manual, training aids, and electronic files are provided
- Advanced EBT and calibration theory plus testimony issues are discussed
- Successful presentations of BAT and calibration technician training modules are required for certification
Note: Successful completion of the Instructor Course authorizes the individual as a Breath Alcohol Technician, Calibration Technician and an Instructor who can train Factory Authorized Calibration Technicians for a year from the date of certification. You will be eligible to extend your certification for 12 months if you successfully complete an online renewal exam. Five years from your certification date, you will be required to complete a full instructor course to maintain Instructor certification.
